A Science of Non Violence

Truth is an indomitable force, like light or gravity. Nonviolence is perfect for disseminating new truths. The price of freedom is immense. Gandhi was the father of his nation. Nelson Mandela outlasted South African Apartheid, freeing the people of his country. The Dali Lama escaped China during the Cultural Revolution, crossing the Himalayas. And he doesn't hold a grudge. Martin Luther King gave his life so we can ride busses together in peace. The truth of nonviolent resistance may win out. And yet, still, man does not see it. Peace is still a strange new solution.

There is real evil in the world. We are all driven by common hardships. Yet, how can someone be free if we still have to be afraid? No one wants to be abused. An injury to one is an injury to all. We protest first in silence, and then with fearless acceptance. Trying to change people one at a time is just too slow. We must change the world together. The world is changing much faster than is each individual person. Together we learn as one. We must stop hurting each other.

Gun rights are fearfully defended here in the United. States. Guns were supposed to protect us from the Government. The U.S. Government is more afraid of us now than we are of it. We all confront hard problems. People can be very afraid of the truth. We can often miss exactly why we are afraid. I see people hounded by veteran ghosts of ancestors they never knew. There can be more beauty in one human soul than most people get to see in a whole lifetime. Guns do kill people here, a lot. Here in the States, our wild west has now gone into the city streets. Guns are everywhere. And those who would protect us are now trained to kill on command.

"Humanity has an innately religious virtue and intelligence." (Virtue is divine, and integrity is beautiful.) Religion is a vital fundamental for learning about "healthy" morality. We have inherited our Moral Codes from different religions. We share these ancient pearls of wisdom of what is right and good. Yet, the spiritual abuse of powerful political tyrants breeds religious censorship. We learn from many different cultures, about love and shared society. This speaks to the changes that are happening for us, right now. I want nothing to do with hurting anyone. First, do no harm. Wish us all good luck. Peace.
