You and Your Chronic Identity Crisis

This is a particularly rich subject, so take a deep breath. You, as a reader may never have an actual identity crisis, but you may as well know a little about what it's like.

Handwriting; printing (uncial) or longhand (cursive) is defined as different by the degree of inter connectedness of the letters. There is also an intermediate variability of interconnectedness (Aeration), when we combine printing with longhand. In my case I have always tended to stop to cross the T's and dot the I's, creating a discontinuity of the pen's contact with the page. In particularly well formed handwriting the way in which the separate letters are placed on the page creates a uniform rhythm and aesthetic. Some books will tell you this is an integration of right and left hemisphere, something potentially rare. Back in the day when people wrote out job applications, in France printing was considered sub par and ignorant. Even a little discontinuity of the longhand was grounds for rejection at the job interview, you were expected to write exactly like the nuns at Catholic school taught you. Now days very few ever learn cursive or it's variations (Calligraphy).

Observing variability in handwriting was how I discovered the "Styles of Evasion" studying both interconnectedness with the looping degrees of overhand (Arcade) and underhand (Garland) rotations. These technical terms (I should have documented this last year in the section on handwriting). This is one of the main reasons I've been obsessing over Tensor Algebra, which may provide the tools with which to prove the diagnostic of Handwriting Analysis. I designed simple matrices to analyze vectors of movements used by everyones different hands in writing. (Yawn.)

As if studying handwriting isn't enough to induce an identity crisis, simultaneously I study hands, faces, voice, touch, style and gesture, and all the other things that are in fact as signature as a fingerprint (Author's Message).

I work in a community of many different aged geniuses and athletes. The chronic identity crisis is one of those subjects that remains unspoken as change can be dangerous to your health as well as your sanity. Many of the most beautiful qualities I see in human nature are in fact the consequence of overwhelming hardship. Many of the most successful people I work with are very troubled. And yet we all try to carry on with style and dignity. These subjects, (and these people) are much too important to underestimate. And yet when you look at the statistics, the demographics, it becomes all too obvious why most people choose to take their time and try to enjoy life even with it's raging ambitions. This subject will have to be given much more time and space to breathe. Thank you. Tomorrow?
