When God Sleeps

While God sleeps, the world and all it's troubles are preserved. When the bride of God was exiled, he wept such tears of bitterness for his one true love that he knew he must sleep or the world would be destroyed. He never intended to be elevated over the Queen of Heaven. But man saw to it that the goddess must be dethroned if the world of man was to rule. So God took himself to sleep with all the dreams of the new tomorrows, when the Mother of All will be free again. But there is yet a mystery, for when he awakes and opens his celestial eye, the world of man will disappear, and the world again will be created from scratch. Only Mother can bring the world to fruition, God is helpless to change what his celestial clock has foretold. So before he fell into his sorrowful slumber, he set the world aflame with conflicts and hidden controversies only the ancient seers could understand. And with his last waking words he said, "I will return someday, but not until you are ready." "The world will be redeemed by the voice of the child." "But until that day, you will have to be my eyes and ears." "You will speak these words and no one will understand." "Just know, I never intended for you to suffer, this was not my doing." "I will not return until the world of man is ready to share in the dreams of the many, otherwise there is no room for love in the hearts of men." "Man does not deserve the love of the Goddess whom he has defiled." "That is why when I return only the memory of the love you share will remain, the dreams of man will fade and crumble." "And thus, All again will be as it had first been numbered to be, and all of us will be together again." And with that, God closed his eye, and went into that silent sleep.
